A couple of families from the NWNJDSG were on the 700 Club recently talking about what it is like to raise a child with Down syndrome.

I think they do a great job of describing how we feel!  All praises to our Lord!

Spring is here! Well - for today anyway. Tomorrow is supposed to be cold and wet again.  But, Anna and I went to the park to soak in our near 70 deg. temperatures that we were blessed with today.

Anna played on the playground equipment -- NOT in the mulch!  It was so great to see how much her skills have improved since even the Fall.  And, she played so nicely with the other kids that were there.  Makes this Mommy smile =)

Then we took a walk to go look at the river and see the ducks.

On the way back, Anna became fascinated with how tall the trees were.

And then she engaged in a little game of peek-a-boo =)

Spring! Can't wait for the real thing!

Smarty Pants!

Like all good mothers - I love bragging about my kids!

Charlie participated in his first Science Fair on Saturday.  His project title was "Opposites Attract", and it was a demonstration of Static Electricity.

For the past 3 or 4 weekends, Charlie, with Jonathan's help, has been working on the project. He did research, performed a couple of experiments, wrote up his findings and displayed it all nicely on a big board.

It wasn't the most exciting of projects -- there was no fancy contraption or anything complicated, but he knew his stuff! He really understood the concepts he was trying to display and demonstrate, and he did a great job of presenting his project to the judges.

As a result - Charlie took home 1st Place for Grades K-2!  I am so proud of him and how hard he worked.
