Final YAP Session

We had our final YAP (Young Athlete's Program - NJ Special Olympics) last week.

As expected, Anna had a great time.  She is definitely a "ball girl" - meaning she loves to play with balls... all kinds.  She likes to throw them, bounce them, kick them, roll them, try to catch them...she just likes balls.  But look out if she has one because you never quite know for sure which direction it is going to go! =)

They also had a rock wall this week which Anna was keen on trying.

And here is a group shot (with siblings).  A number of kids were not there this week...summer vacation?

We are looking forward to another YAP session in the Fall!!  Such a great program for these special kids =)

Wrapping Up

Finally -- our last day of school is within sight!  Seriously - this has been the longest school year ever, and we didn't even use any of our snow days!

This morning was Anna's pre-school graduation ceremony.  Anna is not graduating, but all kids are encouraged to attend, and all kids are recognized and given an award.  It is really sweet. =)

This year, Anna received the "Queen Bee" award.  I believe the title is self-explanatory - ha!

Anna was the flag holder at the ceremony.  She actually managed to stand still and not poke out anyone's eyes.

We said good-bye to Anna's speech therapist who is retiring.  Lord knows she has earned her retirement after working with Anna the past two years! =)

To say we are blessed that Anna has such great teachers and aides and therapists and other helpers at school is an understatement!

Now we are off to help with Charlie's class party -- ice-cream sundaes and water fights! =)

Happy Father's Day

Today we celebrate the men in our lives who have taught us so much about life and love...our Fathers, our Husbands, and our Daddies.

I have been blessed to have three wonderful men in my life who know what it means to be a great father...my husband (and father of my children), my father-in-law, and of course, my own Daddy =)

Happy Father's Day!!
